The Polaris 280 is our most popular automatic pool cleaner, dependable and easily connects to a dedicated pressure line. Powered by double jets and a separate booster pump, the 280 is suitable for all in-ground pools. It sweeps, scrubs, and vacuums the bottom, walls, and steps of the pool. It also traps large debris like leaves and pebbles in its own filter bag. Polaris is the leading manufacture of pool cleaners. One of the nice things about the Polaris 280 pool sweep is each part can be purchased individually. This model features an automatic back-up valve that lifts the unit up in reverse, so that in the event that it gets stuck somewhere in the pool, it will only be there for a moment and you won't have to move it. It also features an in-line filter with a clear housing so you can see if it is dirty, located nearest the pool wall. This filter ensures that no debris gets into the inner workings of the Polaris. The intake size is extremely large, and has no moving parts which ensures that even the largest object won't get stuck in the unit. The Polaris 280 Pool Cleaner will allow you to have the cleanest pool on the block.
